With all the changes to the tax code this year, people will need to look to their accountants for support.

The following are 3 ways to maximize your tax refund.

1) Donate to a charity – The new reform increased the amount you can claim for donations. Now you can deduct up to 60% of your Adjusted Gross Income.

2) Deduct medical expenses – The threshold is 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income.

3) Contribute to your IRA – Get a tax deduction up to $5,500 by maxing out your IRA before April 15, 2019.
